Checking in

Just a quick update that we are all doing well, keeping on keeping on. We had a little mini vacay last week (Chico!) and Easter weekend will be spent at home.

Hopefully by my next update I have a picture of a new deck or a new 'do to share! I feel change stirring in the air!

Destiny poops on my plans

Well, much to my bitter and unyielding disappointment I've had to move my surgery on 4/14/11 to a much later appointment date of 9/22/11. I'm not really really really as disappointed as I thought I would be, maybe because it's been such a struggle to even get to the point where I found out my preauthorization didn't have enough to support medical necessity.

So now, I wait awhile longer. I'm seeing a chiropractor, who concurs that this back is whack. I'm also going to pursue some massage, and that way when I start the ball rolling again I will have much more conservative therapy in the last year than I've had in the last 4 years, and hopefully this will prove that carrying around weight on my front is slowly destroying my back.

In the meantime, we've got a decision to make on what we use some of this upcoming pre-scheduled time off for. I want to go to Chico with the kids, Thad wants to build our deck. I guess I better come up with a terribly creative and clever way to do both!
